Sow outdoors from April-May. This variety produces a large central head that should be cut and eaten; further smaller shoots follow. (12-16 weeks maturity) harvest June to August. Sowing Information - Sow thinly direct into a finely raked, warm, moist seedbed at a depth of 1.3cm (½"). Transplant subsequent plants with a trowel or dibber when large enough to handle, allowing 30cm (12") between plants. Water well during spells of dry weather. Alternatively sow under cover in trays or cell packs and either grow in large pots or grow bags or plant outdoors. To retain maximum vitamin content, cook by steaming. From sowing to cropping is usually 16-18 weeks.
