Physalis

Also known as Ground Cherry, produces golden berries in papery husks. Eat only when fully ripe, green and unripe fruits are not edible. They have a sweet taste likened to vanilla, and honey and pineapple. An unusual fruit that could be used for snacking jams and chutney. The fruits are only mature when they drop to the ground, leave until golden yellow before consuming.
